I had the pleasure of interviewing and photographing Parker McMullen Bushman aka K.W.E.E.N.WERK, a social justice warrior and black environmentalist who promotes an inclusive and safe space for black people to enjoy the outdoors. We went hiking at Flatirons Vista trail outside of Louisville and completed a 5K hike. It was a great experience and great time learning about the work that Parker does. Quilters Provide Comfort to Victims of Marshall Fire

Unfortunately on December 30, 2021 the Marshall Fire ravaged the Boulder area and destroyed more than 1000 homes. So many lives were upended on this frightening day. The community came together to help those in need. As winter is here, one of the main items needed is blankets to help keep warm. Members of the Arapahoe County Quilters (APQ) came together to make and donate quilts families in need. I got a chance to interview and photograph members and learn about the comfort that quilts provide to these in need. You can read the article here.
