If you’ve ever had Coulrophobia, the fear of clowns, then meet BlahAwesome and Rhythm, two clowns who are looking to change the narrative that clowns are scary. I had the opportunity to meet both woman and watch them entertain families and kids during the Sixth Annual Aurora Day Backpack Giveaway. I got the opportunity to meet a great organization that wants to give back to the community. The Cigar Lordz held their first car show and got to meet & greet with the community, along with Smolders Cigar Lounge to raise awareness and support for the organization. Denver Juneteenth is always such a fun and amazing time and 2023 was no difference. Many groups, dancers, organizations, fraternities & sororities came out to celebrate the historic holiday.
2022 was another year of firsts for me. I photographed and wrote three articles for The Denver Voice newspaper, two of those articles made the front cover and I had a feature written about me. Another first was recording video during my shoots this year. I still have a lot to learn when it comes to videography and will get better each time I record and hope to showcase my videos in 2023. Although I didn’t shoot and post as much as I would’ve liked, 2023 will be a good year for me to produce, create and capture many stories and events! As 2022 comes to a close, these are my best photos of the year.
