I was thrilled and a bit surprised when The Denver Voice highlighted me for the August Artists of Color issue. You can read the article here.

Challona Coleman: Changing the World with Music
I’m honored to highlight my good friend Challona Coleman, a multitalented musician who has quite a diverse and artistic style. I’ve known Challona for over 15 years and she’s always been a great friend and photo muse for me. She’s such a great talent that I hope takes over the musical world. I highlighted her for the August Artists of Color issue of The Denver Voice newspaper. You can read my article on her here.
K.W.E.E.N.WERK
I had the pleasure of interviewing and photographing Parker McMullen Bushman aka K.W.E.E.N.WERK, a social justice warrior and black environmentalist who promotes an inclusive and safe space for black people to enjoy the outdoors. We went hiking at Flatirons Vista trail outside of Louisville and completed a 5K hike. It was a great experience and great time learning about the work that Parker does. Tif vonBatsy at Fan Expo Denver
This weekend I attended Fan Expo Denver and shadowed a cosplayer named Tif vonBatsy! She was cosplaying as Mirajane’s Satan Soul: Halphas, from the Fairy Tail Guild anime universe. I’m producing a story on her for The Denver Voice newspaper on what its like being a BIPOC cosplayer. It was such a fantastic experience hanging out with her and learning a lot of information about cosplay. I’m looking forward to the article coming out and sharing. In the meantime, here are some photos from the event:
