The Seven Undeadly Sins: An Erotic Haunted House

I got the opportunity to photograph a haunted house, however this haunted house has a unique theme - a burlesque house focusing on the Seven Deadly Sins. Put on by Boulder Burlesque, this was quite a unique and creative haunted house, full of performances and providing an understanding of consent while blurring the lines of fear and arousal…

The seven deadly sins, also known as cardinal sins, is a grouping and classification of vices within Christian teachings. According to the standard list, they are pride, greed, lust, envy, gluttony, wrath and sloth. These sins are often thought to be abuses or excessive versions of one's natural faculties or passions.

Gluttony: The overindulgence and overconsumption of anything to the point of waste. The word derives from the Latin gluttire, meaning to gulp down or swallow.

Sloth: A peculiar jumble of notions, dating from antiquity and including mental, spiritual, pathological, and physical states. It may be defined as absence of interest or habitual disinclination to exertion

Wrath: Uncontrolled feelings of anger, rage, and even hatred. Wrath often reveals itself in the wish to seek vengeance

Pride: Dangerously corrupt selfishness, the putting of one's own desires, urges, wants, and whims before the welfare of other people.

Lust: An intense longing. It is usually thought of as intense or unbridled sexual desire which leads to fornication, adultery, rape, bestiality, and other sinful sexual acts

Greed: An inordinate desire to acquire or possess more than one needs

Envy: An emotion which occurs when a person lacks another's superior quality, achievement, or possession and either desires it or wishes that the other lacked it
